Well, hopefully anyway! As some of you may know, or may not know, or may not give a rats a$$, I have been working nights for a few months. And i freekin HATE IT!!!!! Well, had a job interview today with a promising company. They liked what i have to offer and and offered me the job. I will let them know monday. It will be a slight cut in pay for the first 60 days, then I will be making more than what i was making if theylike my work. Its a change from the industrial maintenance i have done for the past 10 years, but it will also get me back into the 12 volt world and doing mechanical work that i really like. And the Hours....whoo hooo!!!! 8-4:30 !!!!!5 days a week!!!! HELL YA!!!! This just means i will be able to get on here a little more and tell yall how its done!!!!! Hopefully they accept my offer to work for them.... Anyway, wish me luck all you nutjobs out there!!!!
The job entails electrical, mechanical, and installation of equipment, repair, maintenance and upkeep of trucks, and the trailers, they are very specialized trailers for the transport of live animals. It includes generators, chassis work, egine maint. tig welding, troublshooting of electrical sytems, among many other things as they come up.... I like the idea of an ever changing work situation. always something different. Keeps it from getting boring. thats why i like the maintenance field of work. Its an ongoing learning expereince. (well, except for my spelling!!! LOL )
Yes it is... I am not one who can stand around all day pusshing a button doing the same thing over and over again.... it is for the feeble minded and those that dont care about the future of theor career. Beer.
although i work on the same press all day.i have to run diffrent papers through it. diffrent paper new challenge on how to get it to run.some are easy and take5 mins to set up.others are not and can take up to an hour to get right. i also help the guy next to me with his press.so it keeps me on my toes most of the day. without a good challange everyday that job would suck ass i love a good mystery.lol
Experience And I just started TIG welding last friday...pretty cool, there is so much control of the arc and heat
You all have some pretty interesting work, i always wanted to try stuff like that. As for me, i'm a pencil pusher. I run my family owned finance company... A lot of pressure involved so to keep my sanity i opened a car detailing business, I love being around cars and trucks. So now i get to see some real crappy cars roll into my shop and make them look almost brand new again. I get a lot of satisfaction out of it and its a great stress release for me. Did ya get the job viking???
I need a new job while I am going to college at the moment.. this current one is kicking my ass. I am thinking about trying to get a job at that audio shop that just opened up. I do know AutoZone is hiring though.. maybe go check it out.
