I am a man of simple things, i dont like alot of complexity in my world. Cause it makes things more difficult. My cell phone, just needs to make a call, not play games. My TV, just needs to pick up a few local stations, not every freekin possible show on earth at any one given time.. Even my vehicles are simple. No complex computer BS. (well, cept for one, the other 4 are all point type ignitions) I like the OLD ways, the ways that are proven and justifiable. When one introduces more complexity to an already finely engineered product, it just creates more confusion, more lack of reliability. Take even the simple pocket knife, it now has a set of pliers and and a freekin wire cutter/screwdriver/flashlight/dildo for your GF on it. To heck with that, just give me a nice pocket knife, and i am satisfied.

The complexity of the current day audio sytems is really amazing to me actually. What with on board x-overs, DSP, USB, and whatever else they can toss in Head units, it makes for a mighty neat package. Heck, the advent of digital technology has really upped the bar for what can be done in todays electronics.

But here is the problem i see with all this MP3, digital BS, Idiot pod, nav crap.....The MUSIC....

What about the music? Its really ashamed actually. the mobile audio enviorment has totally forgot about the MUSIC. It aint about how much you can compress onto a cd for maximum play time, it aint about getting the loudest sytem in the "hood", Helll, it aint about even making it look like it was done for a million bucks or how to get to the closest whore house with a nav set up. Its about how it SOUNDS! Alot of you on here understand what i am saying, (i think) With al this new fangled BS in the car, the music is being left behind. Gone are the days of accurate bass, you know, the 1812 overture, when the cannons fire you wait, cautiosly, then BOOM, BOOOOOOOM, and its not rattling the windows, its presented in a musical fashion!!!!!! And it actually is felt (like ya, below 20 Hz).

More amps on the market now than ever before, to do what???? make music? No, to make money for the asswipes that sit in the corporate HQ's. The crap that is out there today is mind numbing. Same with speakers.

I did a listen to a few sets of speakers in a shop not far from here, they claimed they were top of the line (not gunna say brands here) THEY SUCKED. Even given the enviorment, given the power, given the source, THEY PLAIN AND SIMPLY SUCKED.

It is of my opinion that car audio has gone downhill since my time in the trenches. Of the latest sytems i have heard, they all choked on caulk. I really think that most folks out there DONT have an ear for what to listen for, or even how to listen period.

More is better, more speakers, more features, more this that and the other..........BITE ME!!!!!!!

Give me 2 tweeters, 2 midbass and a sub, with one amp...I WILL SHOW YALL HOW ITS DONE. And if the radio recieves anything other than am/fm.....I will bash it into a thousand peices.......

    I am done, for now!

That's ok, the more competition, the more they make, prices come down, soon will be all electric cars. The polluting gas combustion engine will be a thing of the past.

Screw that, it aint got a hemi, nor even a set of pistons in it......

If it dont use fossil fuels, I aint guna drive it!!!!!!!

Further more, the very idea of driving a electric car is crazy......cause most of the jackassses that drive them things plug them in thinking that they are not using fossil fuels when in fact they are!

Get one to charge off a solar array and run 500 miles at 60 mph after an 8 hour charge, theni will be impressed!!!

Of course, the very idea of using solar panels is just a bunch of CRAP, the energy used in the production of said cell is more than what will be delivered by said cell.

I wanna see black smoke and fumes coming out my diesel engine, TONS of particulate matter that lets me KNOW that i am driving a truck!!!! I want to see white smoke on the start up of every goddammed engine ever built. I want to know that my car has oil in it.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And damit! i want a BEER!!!!!!!!!!!

Once they get the power thing figured out, one electric motor will be like 10 hemis with blowers and superchargers strapped together with twine lol.
