    Sirius Available in Mercedes-Benz, BMW as Factory Option
    October 26, 2004 -- New York -- Mercedes-Benz USA and Sirius announced the availability of Sirius in the Mercedes-Benz SLK350 Roadster. Sirius also said its service will become available as a factory-installed option on the 2006 BMW 3 Series starting in the summer of 2005.

    The 2005 Mercedes-Benz SLK Roadster increases to 10 the number of Mercedes-Benz vehicle lines -- nearly the full lineup of Mercedes-Benz vehicles in the U.S. -- on which Sirius Satellite Radio is available.

    The equipment required to receive Sirius is specifically engineered for the SLK and is fully integrated into the Mercedes-Benz audio system. This will allow customers to song title, artist name and sports scores on the head-unit display.

    Sirius Satellite Radio is already available as a dealer- installed option for $679 plus installation, which includes a one-year-paid Sirius subscription and two bonus months. Sirius will be available on the BMW 3 Series as a factory- installed option for an MSRP of $595, which includes a one- year pre-paid subscription. The service is currently available as a factory-installed option on the 2005 5 Series, 6 Series and 7 Series modelsand as a dealer- installed accessory on current 3, 5, and 7 Series, X3, X5 and Z4 Roadster models.
