I'm lookin at getting either an RD Audio heavyweight v.2 12" http://rdaudio.net/products/sub-woofers/heavyweight-v-2

    or a FI Sp4 15"

Basically what I'm looking for is something that handles the low stuff really well with music. Unfortunately with the way things are I'll probably end up with a smaller trunk than i'd like, so that makes me think the RD 12" would be the better choice. Ill be running these off about 2600 RMS. From what I have experienced with FI this will be no problem for the 2500 RMS rated Sp4, and definitely no problem for the RD. I guess i'm just looking for someone with some experience with these subs, I've been out of the sub game for awhile now. For the same price would stuffing the 12" RD in a trunk get louder/lower than trying to stuff the 15" FI in the trunk? Thanks -Matt

I can't speak for the FI, but I have owned the RD Alpha V.2 and was told that my SSA Icons would be a better sounding sub and maybe even play louder. I bought two of the Icon's and now I am disspointed that I didn't buy another RD Alpha. Out of all the subs I've owned, the RD was by far my favorite sub and it would hit the low's pretty decently. With that being said, I have also heard really good things about FI, but I haven't ever listened to any of there subs.
