OK, I was modeling up my Orion XTR 10d subs again, and I think I came up with something - 1.1 cubes, tuned to 38 hz. Is this too high for good SQ? I keep getting told by you guys that I should try to stay below 30 hz, if I can. Also, I listen to mostly rap, and how much bottoming out would I have? I don't have a subsonic, and Wouldn't run these for more than a day or 2 without one, but I think it' something i need to know. Also, when looking at SQ in a WinISD graph, you want your line to be as straight as possible, with no peaks, or dip, or anything, right? Thanks.
BTW, One more thing, WinISD box size is before port and woofer displacement, right? If so, how do I calculate area of a cylinder, (pi*r)^2*length? |
