Thread: DB Meter

    Cool DB Meter

I want to measure the decibel rating of my system but I don't have one of those $500 dollar db meters. What can I do? I have a mic and a lap top so is there a software that can give me an estimate on the decibels? I can at least compare it to a car with a regular audio system. Anybody know of any good software or any other ideas?

    Thanks.
    Working on my 5.1 build...

im pretty sure you have to get the whole termlab mic package thing.. or you can find a custom shop near you that has a meter. that'd be the cheaper route to go
