Are these decent subs?

I've heard Polk Audio is a decent brand, but I'm not entirely sure.

A friend offered me his, but I wanted some advice. Other than the grills, I like their look. But more importantly, does Polk's subs sound alright and is their rms rating accurate?

Yes, this is a good set up, I've heard this personally. Polk is a good brand indeed, I would go with this if it was up on the table at a good price
