Kicker ZX400.1 400W Subwoofer Amp

    The Kicker ZX400.1 400W subwoofer amp is part of the cockpit audio system on my 2000 380 Searay Sundancer, as shown in this topic.

    The ZX400.1 is a terrific amp. It gets warm, not hot during extended high volume usage. It really pushes some serious low frequencies.

    The manual states that this amp needs a 40A fuse and 4 AWG power / ground wire. I have the 4 AWG wire, but my plan had been to use the ZX300.1 amp. I have the 50A circuit breaker specified for the ZX300.1 amp, not the 40A specified for the ZX400.1 amp. This topic shows my main amp and my power distribution.

    My sub uses the Sony XS-L100P5M 10" sub woofer.
