I've been pretty pi**ed lately

Ok, here's the story. About a month ago some guy backed into my passenger front door. Didn't even bother looking, he just backed up without looking. It caused some minor damage to my ride (two small dents). It did tick me off but i was kindof happy cuz i did have a portion of this door painted before and the stealership did a terrible job at matching the paint. So i took it as a perfect opportunity to have it done right along with a few other minor scratches that have been really bothering me (I'm very picky about my truck).

So now, I submitted all my requirements to the insurance company so i can have it fixed. I put it in the shop right away (thier insurance told my as soon as i submit everything put in the shop). Anyway, all the work i did out of my own pocket is finished (had a quarter panel redone due to a few scratches) but the insurance a**holes still haven't approved my door. It's been in the shop for TWO WEEKS!!! The thing is here, insurance companies do not give rentals out. It's just not practiced here.

I'm mad! On top of that, i'm still waiting on parts for my differential (ring gear and pinion) . Imagine, i had to change the whole differential and my Expedition only has 50,000kms on it. I'm not hard on my truck, mostly city driving and i can rarely get the thing over 45mph here cuz of the traffic.

My truck is literally collecting dust at a shop right now, so i know when i get it out i have to detail the whole exterior again!!! WTF! I mean the nerve of these insurance people! I should make them pay for my exterior detail once i get it out of the shop!

To make it worse, I just got my new headunit installed (JVC KD-AVX2) just 3 days before i put in the shop! I haven't even gotten to play around with it yet!!! fck!

what insurance company do you have? I know here locally I have had awesome service with Progressive. They gave me a rental no questions asked when someone backed into my car..

Dave, I live in the Philippines and none of the insurance companies give rentals out here. It's the other guy's insurance that is paying for my damage and his insurance is one of the worst companies around here. I'm still waiting for approval for just 2 tiny dents to be repaired. One is so small that you have to look at it from the side to even see it and the other is right in the contour of the lower part of the door.

I do have another car that i can use cuz my father is in California right now. It just ticked me off cuz i can see the car just collecting dust in the paint shop. It's sitting outside under the sun all day and that's a big no no for me. I have a feeling that once i get it back that there will be overspray all over my truck. Just know that in itself gets me in a real bad mood.
