royal purple treatment

ok i'm in the process of changeing out all my fluids to some sort of RP's product.i'm doing my oil tommorow.next my diff, but i have a question for the mech's on this site.how would I go about changeing my auto trans fluid out.when i bought the truck i had some cash for all the nessesary things.oil, tune up and the like.but i payed 100 for a tranny flush.

so is this something i can do or should i leave it to the pro's?
my next question is how would the pro put in what i want.seeing that they have a machine that does it,and not them.

i'm asking cause i'm going on a 30,000 mile interval, and the book says every 30,000.i do like to take car eof my shiit.my last truck gave me 17 years with minimal probs.(had to go bigger)sold it to a friend.he loves it.i just hope he takes as good care of it as i did....now i'm just babbleing.lol

opening works good, can get messy.

Pump sounds interesting, something to look into perhaps?

i just dug out my repair manual and it says to use a pump.
also said i can only do 5 quarts of tranny fluid.it just shows you how to change the filter in it.

so during my oil rinseing stage of the change i'll get that pump.in case your wondering.i use engine flush with the old oil.drian it then run cheap oil for a few miles and flush it too.then the good oil goes in.

man i hate sneaky bastards.i was just about finished changing my oil.all i had left was the filter.right box.wrong filter inside.

some cheap bastard swapped filters in the store and i got stuck with it.had to go back and change it.no probs at the store they say it happens alot.the clerk even told me people come back with cores instead of the part they bought.

so now i'm going to loose about 3.50 in oil to swap the filters.the royal purlpe was 7per quart.

i was going to finish up the diff and rad if it werent for cheap bastards

dude this is something you can do in your driveway, it just like changing oil, there is a plug at the bottom of thr tranny all you do is open it up like the oil pan, but be careful the oil drain and the tranny drain are identical, so before any unscrewing make sure you have the right one...and you got ripped off on that tranny flush, cuz i only charge $30 at my shop
