Angry Crap Box Part II

Today I was taking my subs out of my box and noticed that my sub box that I had built at A&S installation is lopsided!

the one subs enclosure is 18" and the other side was 16"! :wtf:

It has a slot port in the middle so I am not shure if it was ment to be that way, or if they just dont know how to build a proper box...

Could this have made the subs not move at the same time? Would it cause any damage to one of the subs?

I made a sample pic above.

I need some sort of explaination

if its a common chamber enclosure it shouldnt make a difference I dont think, it will just look a little funny, Id take it back to them and point that out to them.

a common chamber box means both subs share the same air space.......

if there are no divider walls then you have a common chamber box

yeah thats a common chamber box, I would still go back to that shop and point out the **** up cause im sure its kind of an eye sore, but it wont damage your subs.

Well, I dont really mind it if it dosent reduce the sound quality or their spl performance. I just thougt it to be very weird when I noticed it. It wouldnt make one sub work more than the other would it?

no cause both subs are sharing the airspace, as long as you have the same signal going to both subs they will be fine
