SQ sub for my friend

Okay so my friend with an Izuzu (SP?) Rodeo, has diamond audio speakers in his truck already. And he wants woofers/woofer... Now he wants SQ.
So I went down to Tweeters with him and they had 2 Xtant A1044A or A1040A ( difference being that the 44A is Dual 4 Ohm VC, and the 40A's are just 4ohm).

Anyways $264 for 2 of them in a box... What do you think for price wise.
What do you think for SQ wise? I think they sound nice with Aluminum cone..
Also, what amp should power them, I was told they have 1000w outpeak.

or a couple e10a's....260 for those, build a box for 20$ more...and they will slam...im not familiar with those Xtants...but the a's are prolly better....

I don't think this kid wants to order anything, hes not into car audio like me, I am kinda debating if I should push him into getting sub's cause it seems like he has a lack of intrest..

Anything cheap that sounds good?
