cutting out, cutting in and so on...

well when i turn my radio up so loud, my speakers will start doing this wierd thing where they cut off, then turn on, and keep doing it, and the loduer i go with the volume, the more rapidly it does it. this really annoys me, cause to be able to play music constantly in my car, the volume has to be real low...

does anyone know what could be causing this?

hey if you are running an amp it could be the remote turn on, i had that problem and i replaced the wire and it worked. maybe your amp is getting too hot, is your amp impedance capable of driving your speakers right?

Its probably a safety cut off. A lot of amplifier's, including one's internal to a radio, will shut off when they get too hot. As it cools it will turn back on, or some need to be turned off and then turned back on to reset.

well i dont have an external amp, so its not that. and i dont think its because the internal one gets too hot, cause i can turn it on anytime and turn it up and it will do it...

maybe i should just recheck all the wires?
