Thoughts On My Website

well the site is nearing completion with some minor tweeks here and there.

what is your suggestion on music and websites? Go to my gallery page and you will have the music to see what im talking about. Do you think i should implement the music in to the entire site?


On a side note, what do you think about the gallery setup?

Any other suggestions or comments.

Personally I hate when sites have music. I like to listen to my own stuff while surfing the net.

The gallery seems pretty easy to get around in. But is there any order to the pull down list? I love that Lincoln LS.

Adding music, by itself, isn't a bad thing... unless it drags the download time of your site down - remember, over 70% of connections to the internet are dial-up (like me right now!).

Adding music, by itself, isn't a bad thing... as long as you give people a means of turning it off, maybe even varying the volume.

that is alittle high. in late '03 Broadband of sime Kind made up of 40-50% of all connection,

but connection time is still important..


and MMats, like I comments on Caf, I LOVE the web site..

with Music, ALWAYS make a OFF button EASY to find.

Your Target Demographic make is apporiate to have music on the web site, but make sure the music is recorded at -3db to -6db to make sure it plays "under" any other music that the user in surrently playing, and that the off button can be found easy

also make sure you use "cookies" and or sessions to make sure the music does not come back on after the user shuts it off

I really like it.

My only dislike is the pink/red combo. They dont really go with anything else on the site and dont quite match each other.

Oh and I just noticed that my cursor doesnt change when mousing over thumbnails in the fiberglass tutorial. Makes it appear that the do not open to a larger pic.

I'm not much of a fan of websites with music. I do like Mikes idea with the cookies. Its highly anoying to have to turn off the music on every diffrent page you go to in the gallery.
