I came across this on another forum. Maybe we need to get some more word and requests up for an amplifier. Please read Dan's statement and post comments/requests. I for one would love an Adire Amplifier... what's next? Adire Head Units.

Seems the natural course to roll out amplifiers for the mobile market. Any chance we may see them? I sure would like to see 1000x1 and 150x2 amps from Adire. How sweet it would be.

Hi all,

I guess I'll have to think that one over... We do have a LOT of experience in electronics; in fact, we have our own class D core running right now (it's good for ~1200W output). I guess I'll have to talk it over and see about doing a 12V power supply for the unit... I'm not promising anything, but if there's enough interest we'll have to consider it (and as Steven mentions above, it won't be cheap, but it will be completely in-house developed and built - not a rebadge like most other small car audio companies).

PS: we also have some nice little 50W class D full range amps that are cute. About half the size of a pack of playing cards, including the case and heatsink!

I was thinking about purchasing a new amp for my baby brahmas. Need something that will put out 1200 or so at 2 ohms. How expensive is expensive?

If priced comparable to mainstream manufacture's online prices I may be interested but I think I have enough amps for awhile. Maybe one day when I break down and buy another vehicle I would get some. I would definately recommend them to friends though.

TEASER:

This is the class D amp. This unit's capable of 1200W into 4 Ohms. Measures 6.25" long by 2.5" wide. Yes, it's small. And yes, it runs really efficiently (at 1200W output, it's around 96% efficient). Heatsink needed would be the same size as this board, a flat 1/8" thick aluminum panel.

And yes, it does an honest 1200W continuous into 4 Ohms, at less than 0.1% THD.

That's just not right. Did you see that?

Not too sure, but Dan does say this too...

Have something else we're working on. A smaller amp (think deck of cards sized) that does ~25Wx2 into 4 Ohms, 50Wx2 into 2 Ohms, and bridges to ~90W into 4 Ohms. A pair of these would work for Kodas.

That is 2 ohm stable, maybe the big boy will be too... Maybe Dan will stop by and comment.

That amp is really impressive in person. It is so small. But remember that it is just the amp. The power supply will be seperate and is not pictured.

This amp is designed for home audio, so it is designed for a 4 ohm load.

Wow I didnt realize they would be so small.

If they keep them at 4ohms and around $350 a piece I would definately consider replacing my huge ass DEI 2400d with a pair. Would have to have a matching amp for my fronts too. 100x2 @ 4ohms would be nice.

Will just have to wait and see what happens.
