It'll arrive tomorrow. I am excited. I will run it in my truck and in my HT. I am considering a pair ported, 2.25 feet per tuned to 24Hz, with 250 watts per for my HT.

Ill post some pics.

Hey, did you guys see my new HT site?

http://www.sound-foundations.us/HomeTheate...er/intropg1.htm

Dial up beware, lots of pics. I am currently building a dial up thumbnail site.

I really like the Finish on the Mains, was that look acquired by the brushing technique, or is that the wood's grain?

Much of it is the woods gain, but Seth did an oustanding job adding to it with that glossy finish.

Seth, if you can, try it out in a tiny-ish sealed enclosure in your truck. I'm looking for a more simplified approach to my subsystem and if I could stick that thing in .75 cubes or less and still have flat response down to 20...

SSG, that is all the grain of the wood. I did not dye or stain the wood, I simply brushed clear glossy lacquer on it. Here is the front baffel naked:

The wood is totally flat. The "curly" nature of it lies purely in the grain. It is neat because it acts like a hologram. As you move your head in relation to the grain, the grain appears to move as well. I wish I could claim to have worked the wood that way, but alas, I simply ran a brush over it.

Brian,

Thanks, but it is alot easier than people think. It is just time consuming.

Luvy,

20Hz? Hrmmm, I doubt it in that small an enclosure. But I will stuff it with some wood blocks and give you some input on it. Wanna deal on them? Hit me up if you are serious. I'll cut you a deal.

What kind of wood is that? It looks totally awesome. Are you giving deals on the Koda 10, or is that a one-time-only special?

YGPM

The wood is a veneer. It is called South American Tiger Mahogany. Tigers are also sometimes referred to as curly as well. Curly Maples are fairly easy to come by, but the Mahogany was just a lucky find really.

The Koda is here and it is a cutie... A little bit fat, but still nice. I have a couple enclosures lined up a friend of mine (flawlesskid) has built for his 10W7... 1.6 and 2.2 feet tuned to about 30Hz, and a sealed unit too. I will play with these as well as a few other designs, and let you guys know. Pics are forthcoming.

Actually the IB install is in his wifes car. Dan is getting a .75 cubic foot sealed enclosure.
