Has any one here done this school "mobile dynamics" online? It is a car audio school if you were wondering. Just curious cause I'm thinking about doing this and getting a good education on car audio and possibly start my own little set up installing stereos. I know the basics of installing head units amps etc but I'm sure it would pay better wityh an education amd some sort of degree. But any way just asking around to see if this is actually worth my time. Thanks

Well first off this is going to be a bit slow. I found this car fram a friend of mine. I came over his house and just noticed it sitting there. After talking to him about it I bought it for 500. It is a 1994 Mercury Capri non turbo automatic.

My plans:
Clean it up to running condition
Wheels and Tires
Audio System "Still Taking Ideas"

Next year:
Engine swap and trans swap
Auto to manual swap
Repaint
Custom seats

Objective: To have a fun little car for corners and weekend drives, also just something to toy with.

I have a collection of vintage radios from different decades. Just thought I'd share some pics of my Panasonic 730-just got it from "Vintage Sounds" here in Houston yesterday. It was made around 1960. The on/off switch is on the tone control instead of volume-how weird. That's the only one I have that's like that. I like to play my favorite CDs through a little FM transmitter and listen to them with this radio(and my others). I also have an AM transmitter but the range and SQ is much better with the FM.

Note the huge power on indicator light in the upper left.

It has tubes that light up, and put out some heat.

On the dial are 2 marks at 640 and 1240kHz. I think the story goes during the mid '50s to the early '60s there was a fear of being invaded by the Soviets or something like that. In case we were attacked(or any emergency), there would be emergency broadcasts on those frequencies. So most radios from that time period had the "civil defense marks" on the AM dial.
