Pioneer DEH-P860MP Problem

I have a Pioneer DEH-P860MP and it does power on, but it doesnt show any display other than the buttons on the bottom. Could this be a defective ribbon cable or do you think it might be the faceplate?

And also what kind of fuse holder should I wire up? Right now there isnt one because I got this head unit for free. Would this be the correct fuse holder/fuse for it? http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2102784&cp=&origkw=fuse+holder s&kw=fuse+holders&parentPage=search

perfect.....but if it was me, i would use a 200 amp anl wafer fuse and wire it directly to the power grid of the local utility line, that will make your HU do 423,125,783 watts per channel rms.......dont forget to use lots of electrical tape on the wire, 17Kv really hurts when you touvch it!!!!!!
