mounting HU at 90 degree angle?

I'm considering a Tuffy center console (http://www.tuffyproducts.com/consoles/tj/067.html) to stealth mount a subwoofer and HU in my 2006 Jeep Wrangler. However this requires the HU to be mounted at a 90 degree angle (face facing upward).

Will CDs still play properly in this position if I get an Alpine CDA-9856 or CDA-9857? If not, what do you all recommend as an alternative HU in the same league as one of these? I prefer Alpine, or perhaps Kenwood, if possible, but am open to other suggestions.

Thanks

Should be OK, but rember this, pretty much all decks have the cd players suspension designed for horizontal mounting, +/- 30 degrees or so......
