pioneer p9800bt sat problem

I have the p9800bt installed in my truck. I recently had the satallite tuner sir-pnr1 installed also for sirius. (I double checked, It is the one compatible with a pioneer head unit) However, when I hit the source button (like the manual says) to bring up sirius, It never shows up in the shuffle. Example: tuner, compact disc, telephone, bt audio, then back to tuner. I have found where if you want the aux1 or aux2 you have to select it under functions to allow it in the shuffle, but nothing to allow sirius or even xm for that matter. I've already purchased the sirius subscription, and checked, all is well on their end. I just can't get to the sirius option on my head unit. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!

the sat button is also the clock button.the 3rd button to the right .next to the knob.try that.it might not come up on source because that just cycles thru tuner,cd,and the aux inputs.

did you select sat radio in the set up menu?

By "set up menu" do you also mean the "initial settings" If so, I went to initial settings by turning unit off, holding in on control knob untill screen comes back on. I went through everything it showed, clock and date set, warning tone, face auto open, brightness, mute, and so on. It does come up (where I can turn off and on) the bt audio, aux1, and aux2, but that's it. Nothing about sirius, xm, television, dvd, multi cd player, external unit1, or external unit2. Is there some other screen or function these items are under? Many thanks for the help!!

I saw what you had said (sat third button to the right), I had pushed it and nothing happened.

The Pioneer should automatically recognize the Sirius tuner and add it. If it does not, the Sirius tuner is usually to blame. Is it a Pioneer supplied Sirius tuner? I have had occational problem with Terk interfaces for example.

the brand tuner looks like it is sirius connect, number on box is sir-pnr1. It says it is pioneer compatible but I'm beginning to wonder.
