What Now? HELP!

In my mustang i have a alpine head unit im not sure which type an i dont feel like going to look at to find out it all i know is it has the mx bass button and it is xm ready, so anyway when i drive or the car is running i can hear the motor and the turbo spooling up through the speakers,now the head unit is wired to a PG 200wtt 4 channel amp pushing the compnents also, can anyone help?

Check to make sure your signal wire and power wire to your amp are spaced as far apart as possible.

Run the head units ground wire to the same location that the highs amp is located....... Try unplugging the antena and see if it goes away. Are you running a hot ignition?, Does the noise go away when the rca's are unplugged? Lots of ways to isolate noise, just depends on if its a ground loop, radiated, or a short...........

I had the same problem when I put a blower on my mustang. I was running the msd distributor with the 6AL box. Once that was installed I got a lot of ignition whine. I installed some Taylor 10.4 plug wires and the problems went away. Also make sure all your ground wires are still tight and secure.

HHMMMM......i have the same exact thing going on,but all i did was put my rear seat down to make an adjustment.

then when i put it back up all the speakers hooked to my hi's amp started making the worse alt wine.

i did find my mian fuse body was cracked.(under the hood, i was cleaning)am replaceing to day.

i checked ALL my connections,and found nothing!

befor i gut my truck.do you guys have any other sugjestions?

please forgive the thread jack,but i ciuld not find the thread starter page or what ever you do to start a thread.


im leaveing to get a new fuse holder.may be some new rca's since i'm going to gut the damb thing sooner or later any ways.

the speakers arent wired to the HU it goes from the rca out frm hu to rca in on the amp and then the speakers are wired to it and also the subs are barley being pushed and are not even worth putting in because you cant here them or even feel them and with the trunk open

unplug the rca's at the head unit, does the noise disappear then?

OK, run a ground wire from the radio's ground to the same place the highs amp is grounded, just cheese a peice of 18 ga. wire too the proper spots, this is just a test. dont have to run it all fancy like!!!! Hook everything up and see what ahppens. (Dont even have to put the radio back in the dash) what happens now? any noise or more noise, or less noise????
