RCA outs help please

well my head unit i am lookin at has 4 channel 5 volt preout and one 2v sub preout. And the amplifiers i want are both 4 channel amplifiers. Now my question is that well each amplifier had 2 pairs of rca ins and 1 rca out. now the one rca that it has out is it for the front or the back. and does it matter? One amp is for speakers adn the other amp is for subwoofers. would it make any difference how i connect the amplifiers. I was thinking I put one set of preouts in the first amp and the otehr set of preouts in the other amplifier and put the preout from the first amplifier into the second amp and the second amplifier into the first amplifier. I hope that makes sence.. Please advise me how to set it up. I am using the subwoofer preout from the head unit to run a mono amp to power my bass shakers. Please do give any ideas you have.
