OK, Guys, I FINALLY got my Type R 12 reconed, but have no use for it, so, it's yours, for the right price. I haven't even hooked it up yet, to double check that it works alright, but, I definitely will before someone actually buys it. Again, it's mint, there are marks on the foam around the sub, nothing on the cone, rubber surround, etc. I really need the cash for selling it, so, no trades please, unless for a decent MP3 HU. Thanks. Ken.

I'm not personally interested, but I know there will be questions you might want to answer:

Reconed via Alpine?
Covered under warranty?
What did you do in the first place that broke it?

Good luck!
I'll vouch that a fresh recone is essentially a brand new subwoofer, as ALL the soft parts are replaced with a new recone unit.

Honestly, I could not tell you what was done with the recone. I do, however, know that I snapped a tinsel, and now that I look at it, it looks as if they fixed that tinsel (dunno if the others looked brand new, as they do now, cause I don't remember). But, I do know that the coils ohm'd out to 10 ohms on one, then alot more on the other, and now they both ohm out to around 4.4-4.5 ohms. And, it was taken to an Alpine dealer in Wisconsen and they sent it to an alpine repair facility, Americans Service Center, nd I have the repair receipt,a nd ti says 90 day warentee. This was not in original manufacturers warentee anymore, so, it cannot be covered now. Thanks for the insight, geo.
